The 2^nd Annual International Social Sciences Conference (AISSC 2020)

Institute of Social Sciences of the Central Region invites academicians, policy-makers, and other stakeholders to send original research papers to AISSC 2020 under the theme “Regional Sustainable Development: Theoretical and Practical Issues”.

TIME AND VENUE: On 29^th and 30^th of October, 2020 (can be adjusted to the situation of COVID-19) at Institute of Social Sciences of the Central Region, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City, Vietnam.

TOPICS: The conference topics should be related but not restricted to:

1. Theoretical issues on regional sustainable development

• Theories of sustainable development, regional sustainable development, and regional linkages in sustainable development;
• Criteria/indicators for regional sustainable development;
• Theoretical issues on integrating regional sustainable development into the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development;
• New approaches to regional development.

2. International experiences of regional sustainable development

• Approaches to regional sustainable development and regional linkages in sustainable development;
• Current situation of regional sustainable development;
• Lessons learnt for Viet Nam on regional sustainable development.

3. Current situation of regional sustainable development in Viet Nam

• Current situation of regional sustainable development in Viet Nam;
• Current situation of regional linkages in sustainable development in Viet Nam;
• Current situation of socio - cultural - economic development toward sustainability in Viet Nam;
• Policies and institutional aspects of regional sustainable development in Viet Nam;
• Obstacles and challenges of regional linkages and regional sustainable development in Viet Nam in the new context;
• Initiatives, recommendations, and solutions to promoting regional sustainable development in Viet Nam.

4. Any other aspects of relevance to the conference’s theme
