AND REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

CALL FOR PAPERS

 

“Regional sustainable development” is an issue that attracts the interest of academic researchers, policy-makers, and other stakeholders. The Institute of Social Sciences of the Central Region and the EM Normandie Business School are organizing the first conference on the nexus between Entrepreneur, Innovation and Regional Sustainable Development” in Da Nang (Vietnam). The aim of the conference is to promote scientific research in the topics related to sustainable growth and its implications for regional development.

FOCUS TOPICS

1. Sustainable Agriculture

How to ensure the development of agriculture activities without damaging natural resources and social interests is still a big challenge. Submissions can be associated with sustainable agriculture as agroecology, agtech, sustainable agriculture production, sustainable farming methods, among others.

2. SMEs and Sustainable entrepreneurship

Submissions to this topic can be related to different aspects of entrepreneurship in a sustainable regional development context as entrepreneurship and social change, sustainable entrepreneurship practices in SMEs, values in entrepreneurship, family-based entrepreneurship, social networking sites for entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in institutional voids, among others.

3. Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable development

Companies have to be more and more responsible for their activities’ impact on society. This is the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). However, the CSR impacts on the company performance, contributions of CSR practices to sustainable regional development are still questionable. Submissions to this topic can be related to CSR and its implications as CSR and the diversity of institutional contexts, CSR and industry development, CSR in the COVID-19 context, among others.

4. Sustainable Supply Chain, Logistics, and Transportation

Supply chain has an important role in the regional development. How to ensure a sustainable supply chain is a vital issue. Submissions to this topic can cover different themes like circular economy, integration (internal and external) and collaboration, inventory management, logistics and supply chain innovation, humanitarian logistics, retail logistics, supply chain costing and finance, supply chain resilience, Covid-19 and supply chain strategy, transportation and logistics business and management, maritime transportation, last-mile logistics, green vehicle routing problem, green production and routing problem, renewable energies and clean production, among others.

5. Sustainable Innovation

Submission to this topic can cover different aspects of sustainable innovation and digital transformation as sustainable growth in business ecosystems, responsible design of digital business models, platform economy and personal data spheres, innovation and trust, digital eco-system participatory innovation, frugal innovation, value-sensitive design, ethics in innovation management, among others.

A mini economic forum: Economic Development in the Central Region

Participants: EM Normandie Business School, Institute of Social Sciences of the Central Region, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, experts and local agencies and managers.

PROGRAM

Time: July 21st and 22nd, 2022.

  • 21/7/2022: All day conference.
  • 22/7/2022: Round table (in the morning) and Trip to 2 World Heritage Sites, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary (in the afternoon).

Venue: Institute of Social Sciences of the Central Region, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City, Vietnam.
